Spit roasted.
Here is an account of the episode of spitting into a drinking fountain which took place on February 11th, exactly as I described it in the email which I sent to the Senior Coordinator the following day:
Late
yesterday (Thursday) afternoon I was standing talking to a group of
ladies who were playing cards outside the large hall, when a person
passed behind me walking in the direction of the exercise lounge.
After walking a few steps further on, he loudly cleared his throat
and expectorated sputum towards the drinking fountains on the right
of the corridor.
This caught our attention, and I recognized
the person as the man who attacked me last week. Why is this
person still permitted to attend our center?
That's right. The person who had attacked me less than a week earlier made an insulting gesture by hawking and spitting contemptuously into the drinking fountain. In doing so he had deliberately contaminated an outlet for drinking water used by the entire senior center community. This incident had to be grounds for the exclusion of this dangerous person which had been promised by (Employee A1) if any further incident of antisocial behavior were to occur.
Wait a bit though – the Senior Coordinator had once before behaved like a fool, liar and bully. Would the label 'Fool' now be shown to be inaccurate and unfair by the prompt exclusion of this dangerous person, thereby allaying my concerns about safety and bringing this whole unhappy episode to a close? Would the label 'Liar' now be shown to be inaccurate and unfair by a response to my above email which did not contain distortion or misrepresentation?
Or was this opportunity for more bullying too good to pass up? Would the response be intended to leave me spluttering with frustration and helplessness at having my safety concerns mockingly disregarded?
Remember, this was the second documented instance of antisocial behavior by my attacker. In the meeting on February 9 the Senior Coordinator had stated that exclusion would occur if a second incident were to take place. There were independent witnesses to this second incident. This further display of antagonism towards myself indicated that my concerns about a 'ticking time bomb' were justified.
